Passover Service Notes

These notes are from 2007 Passover service in order to help those who want to take Passover but do not have anywhere to attend with a group of believers.

OPENING
We are here at a very special occasion and for a very special covenant agreement. It was prophesied by Job to occur and be established in Job 10:8-22.

V.8 Your hands fashioned and programmed, and made me totally like You, and with that established why would you seek to destroy me?

V.9 Remember NOW, that you made me like You and out of clay, so why would you desire to see me turn to dust again?

What Job said in these two verses established that Jesus was the Maker, Designer, and Life giver to man whom He had created in His image. Job was reminding God of Gen 1:26: "We shall make man in Our image, according to Our likeness and let them rule. And again in Gen 2:7 -- Then the Creator God formed man of the dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

When Job reminded Jesus of His word on this point, he confirmed that Jesus must take responsibility for His creation. He must establish the way for restoration, redemption, and release. Job said, in essence, "REMEMBER, Jesus, You have made me and You must show me the way to get right and stay right with You.

Look now at Job 10:12-14. V.12 You have granted me life and Your lovingkindness, and Your tender caring has preserved my spirit. Job was saying to God that His love and tender caring were putting barriers to the will of evil to destroy mankind. And that one who is chosen comes under even more special treatment.

V.13 Yet these things You have concealed in Your heart away from man, however I KNOW that this is within You. Job was saying that God's heart was so full of love for him that He had to conceal it from Himself for a time appointed. God wants mankind walking in righteousness and delivered from all the falseness that the devil can devise or scheme to entrap man into.

V.14 If I sin, then You would know and take note of me, and You would not just acquit me of my guilt. If I sin, I have to come to You to be forgiven and cleansed. God does not just okay sin, and acquit anyone of his or her guilt. He has a method or plan for bringing one back into righteousness.

When we fail to walk in righteousness we need Jesus, His sacrifice and His blood to cleanse us and heal us of the sins involved.

Job was saying in essence, "You made me like you, yet we are always needing Jesus for we are a soul and spirit in an earth suit that needs redemption and a spiritual infusion."

Again we see in Isa 6:9 And He said , "Go, and tell this people, Keep on looking, but do not understand."

Job understood a secret about God that very few seek to understand when he said in Job 10:13, "Yet these things You have concealed in Your heart away from man, however I know that this is within you. Job understood a secret about God, a secret that could only be expressed in the Passover. And in Isa. 6:10 we see a concept of the Passover expressed that truly befuddles the Christian world who choose to live by their traditions instead of revelation and understanding. ... [Continued]
