PENTECOST POWER! The Day of Pentecost falls on Fathers’ Day, Sunday, June 15, this year. You may remember reading about the power that was unleashed on that day at the birth of the New Testament church in Acts 2. Wind, fire, great miracles! It was an exciting time. And when God’s people began to keep this day at the prescribed time and in the way He ordains, watch out! As they say, “we ain’t seen nothin’ yet!” Pentecost holds keys of truth that unleash “dominion power.” Read all about it HERE, and even hear about it in an audio sermon we have made available in this exciting message revealed by the Holy Spirit to Pastor Gerald Budzinski. |

The Power of Forgiving — Part 3
(Part Three of Three)
The power to forgive overwhelms everything that evil man can do with the hands of evil. When you release yourself and others into the hand of God through forgiveness, God is able to change you -- and them. Yet we often have a fear of forgiving in case the person tries to do some evil to us again. The “what if’s’ come into play, and when we listen or meditate on them, we activate fears. Active fears are sin. Jesus spoke 365 times into our life, “DO NOT FEAR”. That is one time for each day of the year. Why?
Jesus was very direct with Peter when He told Peter to forgive another 70 times 7 or 490 times a day. This idiom also means 7 to the power of 70 or 49 with 70 zeros behind it for a person’s lifetime of forgiving. Jesus would not call upon us to do something that God the Father would not do nor would He tell us to do something that we were not empowered to do. That means we have been given the full, infinite power of God to forgive everyone. That includes ourselves, and we can do to it without fear.
Our use of the power of forgiveness allows God to test our heart and KNOW when we are ready to have additional power released to us. When we act like our God we do the work of our God. Forgiveness is an act of LOVE and love drives out FEAR. And when fear is out of the way, we have no trouble forgiving. The cycle of love is only put into practice when we sow the seed of choosing it. It grows powerful as we us it.
Proverbs 17:13 -- "He who returns evil for good, evil will not depart from his house." This means that once you start forgiving and doing good to others, good will NEVER depart from your house. The evil others plan for you tests you or brings a temporary trial, but it cannot stay. If you choose not to forgive evil's attack, the evil sticks and pushes you backward away from God. You cancel the promises of God for shielding and protection. Evil’s hand cannot help but lay hold of you and your household. Evil begets more evil. Forgiving begets more forgiving and blessings from God. It is your choice what you bring into your house, your life and your future.
We see, therefore, that evil seeks to plant a seed in your heart for unforgiveness to reign. If you let it be planted, the spirits of vengeance, vendetta, sabotage and murder begin to grow. These will eventually kill you and every dream of good that you have ever had.
Evil events make you fear evil -- and its sting. Calling out fearful words pushes love and power away from you. This makes it harder to forgive from the heart and release the pain to Jesus. Unforgiveness thus reigns in your heart every time you seek vengeance and in so doing lose your rights.
Proverbs 17:14 -- "The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so abandon the quarrel before it breaks out." [Continued ...]
